The Third Technical Session on:

Modeling of Location Management in Mobile Information System

 May  09-12, 2005

Suntec City, Singapore

CALL FOR PAPERS

Scope of the Technical Session

Purpose:

This technical session aims to discuss bring together researcher interested from difference fields like as, Mobile Environment, with an opportunity to exchange information and new ideas, and to discuss new developments in the different fields. It is visualized that areas of interaction will be further explored and common applications will be considered with  Location/Movement Management Strategy, Modeling and Performance Analysis, and The Security of Mobile Information Systems for the next generation technology.

Description:

This evolution from the third-generation mobile system is driven by the need for greater bandwidth in anticipation of an emerging market for mobile networks services. Location management schemes are a Modeling for Mobile Communication Networks proving an advance well suited for modeling various Databases, especially PCS/IMT-2000/UMTS, All-IP Networks, and Wireless IP. For this reason, mobile based technologies need to be studied and developed for future services offered to subscribers in future fourth generation mobile information systems. The aim of the invited session during the ICCSA'2005 Conference is to bring together researchers from Mobile Management, Modeling and Performance Analysis, and the Security to present and discuss their perspectives on the use of the next generation mobile communication networks.

Topics:

The Technical Session will focus on

  • Call Location Management Schemes for Mobile Information Systems.
  • Call Movement Management Strategies of Mobile Networks.
  • Modeling and Performance Analysis on PCS/IMT-2000/UMTS.
  • Arrangement of Wireless Networks Variants for Different Purposes
  • Mobile System and Services - Wireless LAN, W-CDMA and Wireless IP.
  • QoS Assurance Technologies for Mobile Multimedia Protocol- RSVP, MPLS and DiffServ.
  • Mobile Intelligent Transport Systems- ITS, LBS, BIS and Telematics.
  • Security of Wired/Wireless Information Systems.

Copyright Form:

All the manuscripts accepted for publication by Springer in its series LNCS must be accompanied by a Signed Copyright Form.

Here you can download a copy of the Copyright Form in PDF format.

Review Process:

After receiving your submission, the paper will be reviewed taking into account:

  • Relevance,
  • Significance of results,
  • Originality,
  • Technical accuracy, and
  • Readability.

Each paper submitted to the technical session was reviewed by, at least, two referees (three in most cases). Although they had a very short time (and a very busy schedule) for reviewing the papers, they certainly did a very good job. Many thanks are given to the members of the Reviewer Board for their careful reading of the initial version of the manuscripts and their helpful suggestions which led to a substantial improvement of the draft papers. Acceptance/rejection will be based on this review. If a paper is rejected you will be contacted and given the Referee reports. It may well be that your paper is more suited to be submitted to another workshop or conference.
