The International Conference on Computational Science and ITS Application

The Third Invited Session :

Intelligent Multimedia Services and The Synchronization

 in Mobile Multimedia Networks

May  09-12, 2005

Suntec City, Singapore

CALL FOR PAPERS

Scope of the Invited Session

Purpose:

This session aims to discuss bring together researcher interested from difference fields like as, Mobile Multimedia Networks, with an opportunity to exchange information and new ideas, and to discuss new developments in the different fields. It is visualized that areas of interaction will be further explored and common applications will be considered with focus on  mobile multimedia services and the synchronization schemes for the next generation technology.

Description:

This evolution from third-generation system is driven by the need for greater bandwidth in anticipation of an emerging market for mobile multimedia services. The global growth of interest in the Internet and in high-quality audio, video conferencing and VOD, coupled with a growing high-bandwidth structure, will lead to a rapidly expanding market for mobile multimedia services. Although there are currently no applications with great mass-market that require broadband mobile access, the popularity of mobile multimedia services should eventually affect the market for wireless multimedia communications. For this reason, mobile multimedia based technologies, such as  mobile synchronization technologies, QoS multimedia assurance technologies, IP based multimedia technologies and mobile multimedia Internet technologies, need to be studied and developed for future services offered to subscribers in future fourth generation networks systems.

Topics:

The Session will focus on

  • Synchronization Model for Multimedia Object in Mobile Environment.
  • Multimedia Steam Process Algorithm in Mobile Environment.
  • Mobile Multimedia Protocol Services - Wireless LAN, Wideband CDMA and Wireless IP.
  • Next Generation IP Based Multimedia Service.
  • Location Management Schemes for Mobile Multimedia Systems.
  • QoS Multimedia Assurance Technologies.
  • Image Processing in Mobile Environment.

Copyright Form:

All the manuscripts accepted for publication by Springer in its series LNCS must be accompanied by a Signed Copyright Form.

Here you can download a copy of the Copyright Form in pdf format.

Review Process:

After receiving your submission, the paper will be reviewed taking into account:

  • Relevance,
  • Significance of results,
  • Originality,
  • Technical accuracy, and
  • Readability.

Each paper submitted to the Session was reviewed by, at least, two referees (three in most cases). Although they had a very short time (and a very busy schedule) for reviewing the papers, they certainly did a very good job. Many thanks are given to the members of the Reviewer Board for their careful reading of the initial version of the manuscripts and their helpful suggestions which led to a substantial improvement of the draft papers. Acceptance/rejection will be based on this review. If a paper is rejected you will be contacted and given the Referee reports. It may well be that your paper is more suited to be submitted to another workshop or conference.
